underwhelming stay
weak showercold room
The shower was little more than a dribble. It barely got me wet. the car park looked more like an industrial estate than a hotel entrance. our room wasnt warm enough, even after i told them about the heating problem. the towel rail was also falling apart when i tried to use it.

The grounds are great for grandkids. My room was fantastic. Breakfast was great (especially the pancakes!).
The rooms are a bit tired and in need of decorating throughout. I saw damp spots on the ceiling.

the room was spacious and clean. i appreciated the dog-friendly policy, allowing my dogs in the lounge and bar. the food menu offered plenty of choice and the quality was very high. breakfasts were perfect each morning.

the gluten free breakfast was appreciated (especially the bread).
The room felt a bit worn. I noticed water stains on the ceiling and the carpet needed some attention around the edges. the plumbing also seemed to have issues, as the water pressure in the shower was very low. these issues.
